Finally, a modern trouser pattern designed for curvy hips, fuller thighs and a narrow waist! The Thurlow Trousers sit below the waistline, with a slightly flared leg. Pockets in front are subtle slash pockets that won’t add bulk to the hips.
Pattern includes a cute pair of cuffed shorts as well as full-length pants. Wear the shorts cuffed or un-cuffed, with an optional grosgrain ribbon belt.
A great feature of this pattern is the centre back extension. Both trousers and shorts have extra-wide seam allowances at centre back so they're easily altered for a custom fit at the waist. Try on your pants when they're partially sewn, and fit them to your body!
Sizing is proportioned for a pear-shaped figure: smaller waist, larger hips and thighs.

I have now made 5 pairs of thurlows, and don't think I will ever be able to go back to store bought pants. As a pair shaped woman I was used to pants that didn't quite fit! But never again! This pattern is brilliant, and Lladybird's sew along makes perfect fit trousers possible for anyone. I have now adapted the pattern into two different leg shapes ( skinny and straight) as well. The basic fit is great, I would recommend this pattern to anyone!

Especially with trousers its really difficult to find some that look good on pear shaped women. I made the short version - and except its maybe a teenieweenie bit too short (with cuffs) - they fit perfectly!! Thanks to Lladybird and her thurlow-tutorial it wasnt too difficult to make the pockets and fly. Next time i'll go for the long version.

I was so excited when Tasia announced this pattern, and it didn't leave me disappointed! The pants fit both my waist and my hips great, and with minimal fit alterations. The instructions are well-done, too. I love the one pair I've made so far, and am looking forward to making many more.

They were my first hand made pants and totally loved them. I just had to do a minor tweak and they fit wonderfully. They are so comfortable that I'm planning a lot more for every season. The instructions were clear enough and I just needed some extra help for the zipper.

These are great trousers. I find them comfortable and flattering. I thought the instructions were very clear. I especially like the waistband construction and the way the front pockets lay flat.
